BIG FISH

C'est une sculpture de John Kindness.
Un espèce de cachalot recouvert de faience qui rappelle l'histoire de la ville.

En face, sur l'autre rive, le musée du Titanic (page …), avec sa forme de coque de bateau , sa façade reflétant les brumes, nuages et vents du nord de ce pays. Cette façade est juste brute, lisse, brillante symbolise t'elle la glace de l'iceberg.

Les écailles de Big Fish représentent des scènes de l'histoire de Belfast, des premières années du port à nos jours. L'intérieur du poisson est une capsule temporelle. Sa mise en service a marqué une étape à Belfast redécouvrant sa confiance dans un passé fier et un avenir passionnant.

A species of sperm whale covered with faience that recalls the history of the city.
Opposite, on the other side, the Titanic Museum (page ...), with its form of boat hull, its facade reflecting the mists, clouds and winds of the north of this country. This facade is just rough, smooth, shiny symbolizes the iceberg of the iceberg.
The scales of the Big Fish depict scenes from Belfast's history, from the early years of the port to the present day. Inside the fish is a time capsule. Its commissioning marked a stage in Belfast rediscovering its confidence in a proud past and exciting future.
